It really helps with the learning curve, taking away questions such as ‘how to do this?’ or ‘what to do next?’ It will also take away the mindboggling questions on which combinations are the best to come up with a really good character. These are already written down for you so you don’t have to guess.

For those who have been playing Rift for some time now, the most helpful part of the Rift Blueprint would probably be the Instance Guides. All the instances are listed in the book with an overview that would quickly inform you of necessary information such as the location, bosses, quests, maps, and of course, the boss strategies.

What is not so good about the Rift Blueprint?

The Rift Blueprint, unfortunately, is more of a guide for beginners. It will guide you in choosing souls, making platinum, PvP, and dungeons. However, it just basically contains stuff that a veteran in Rift and MMOs would probably know by now. It does contain bits and pieces of new and useful information but not enough to make it a really great book.

Of course, one of the reasons you are looking for guides is for you to level up faster right? Well, the Rift Blueprint claims to help you level up faster but in reality, it would really only give you an overview of leveling with quests and rifts. It is far from the step-by-step guide to leveling up faster that you might be expecting. Therefore, only the novices can really benefit from this.

How much does the Rift Blueprint cost?

Tony Sanders’ Rift Blueprint costs $47. This comes with free updates, should there be any.

Should you get the Rift Blueprint?

To recap, the Rift Blueprint is more of a Beginners Guide that gives an overview of the different aspects of the game. It provides some useful information but these are mostly not any more new to those who have been playing Rift for some time now. Therefore, if you are new to Rift, then this guide could really prove to be helpful.

Otherwise, I suggest that you go spend your money on some other guide that can really give you mind-blowing information that you don’t already know.

#3 Choice – Fero’s Guide – A Decent Guide

On #3 I’ve placed Fero’s Guide. The reason for this is that out of all guide, I found that the content offers wasn’t of great quality. But it’s a complete guide. You can’t say them from the #4 and #5 rated guides.

Fero’s Guide is a downloadable PDF file that is packed with tips and strategies that would help you do the following in Rift, Planes of Telara:

Fero’s Guide focuses more on the basics. It gives an overview of factions, rifts, souls, the auction house, equipment, PvP, dungeons, and a leveling guide. While these basic information can be valuable for the novices, it won’t really get the more advanced players anywhere.

The leveling guide is abhorrently only half a page long and wouldn’t really get you anywhere. As for the dungeons, you will indeed find useful information in this guide but considering the overall quality and quantity of the content that would be beneficial to you, I suggest you go find other guides that are of a higher quality, which would also contain tips and strategies for the dungeons that can even be more detailed.

On a final note, if you are looking for a tip-top guide for Rift, Planes of Telara, you will be better off with other guides than this one. Those will cost you a little more, though, averaging $47 for a single purchase. If you’re a beginner who wouldn’t like to go all out and pay approximately $17 more, then get the Fero’s Rift Guide. For the advanced players, I tell you that the additional $17 will be worth every penny.

#4 Choice – KFGuides Rift Leveling Guide – A Leveling Guie Only

On #4 I’ve placed KfGuides Rift Leveling Guide. This guide is only a leveling guide. So if you want to fully master rift, then this guide is not for you. However, the content delivered from their leveling guides were great. They cover the defiant and Guardian factions.

The KF Guide is a Defiant Leveling Guide that would help you reach level 50 in the soonest possible time. Take note of the word “Defiant”. That means that the Guardians will not benefit from this guide, although the authors are already trying to make a guide for the Guardians too. For the meantime, the KF Guide is solely for the Defiants.

It is also important to mention at this point that the KF Guide only covers Levels 1-42, since these were the only levels accessible during the Beta. Now that Rift has gone live, you can expect a complete guide up to Level 50 real soon. Besides, updates will be for free.

Kalmar’s Guide is basically a Leveling Guide for Rift Guardian, which promises to take you from Level 1 to 50 in less than 4 days.

The author, Kalmar, is a full-time Rift gamer and MMORPG addict. He is a speed gamer who is constantly searching for ways to level up at the fastest rate, without doing the mundane things everybody hates. Kalmar’s Guide, therefore, is the product of all his research and experiments with leveling in Rift, which helped him to achieve Level 50 in just 3 days and 11 hours.
